Presentation Summary

Linear Power Systems technology can generate power for multiple electric vehicle applications. In series hybrid EV and range-extender applications, free piston engines offer efficient, compact and cost-effective power generation. Heat recovery applications permit mild hybridisation of heavy duty vehicles, and can regenerate power for high efficiency kinetic energy recovery.

Speaker Biography (Sam Cockerill)

Company Profile (Libertine FPE)

Libertine FPE logo
Libertine makes high performance linear electrical machines and gas expander devices for free piston engine applications in decentralised power and electric vehicles. Libertine's patented and lab-proven technology dispenses with the crankshaft and other mechanical powertrain components that contribute to the high cost and low efficiency of today's small power generation technologies. The high efficiency and precise positional control provided by Libertine's 'linear power systems' technology addresses the key remaining challenges identified by free piston developers.
