Speaker Biography (Clemens Tuerck)
Clemens Tuerck studied Audiovisual Media at Stuttgart Media University and received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in 2002. During his course of studies, he worked as project manager and game developer on games for PC and Nintendo GameBoy. He joined Ravensburger in 2002 as project manager for board games, covering since then a great variety of family board game concepts. His main focus lies on combining (audiovisual) electronic components with board games. He led the development of semi-electronic board games like "King Arthur" (2003) and "Wer war's", which was awarded two important German Games awards in 2008 and performed extremely well in the German games market. Since 2008, Clemens Tuerck is part of the newly established innovations department. His focus lies on searching technologies which can enhance traditional board games.
