* Printed Silver inks have been commonly used for over 30 years, and the cost of the silver content had remained relatively steady until approximately 2006. However recent and unpredictable spikes in the precious metals markets have added to cost supplier pressures, as those cost spikes must ultimately get passed along to the end user or consumer.
* There has been an increase in activity throughout the supply chain aimed at minimizing the impact of the fluctuating precious metals markets, and this talk will introduce new printed conductor that offer lower cost alternatives to most typical printed silver conductors on the market today.
* This presentation will also review emergin Printed Electronics applications where new material developments are helping to enable lower cost end products.
