MICLEDI develops microLED microdisplays for the augmented reality (AR) market, which are intended for integration with waveguide optics. The imec spin-out's displays are designed on a 300mm wafer platform for CMOS manufacturing compatibility. The fabless Leuven-based firm has demonstrated first display prototypes and just announced GlobalFoundries is its fab partner.

OQmented are a fabless developer of laser beam scanning (LBS) systems, focusing on displays for augmented reality (AR) devices and 3D sensing for consumer electronics. The Fraunhofer ISIT spinout use hermetically sealed MEMS mirror systems and Lissajous scanning to increase device performance. The company, based in Itzehoe, Germany, are in the process of spinning out their automotive LIDAR operations.
