PreAct: Short-Range Flash LiDAR to Compete with Radar and Ultrasonics
PreAct is a start-up that was founded in 2018. It recognised that long-distance LiDAR would be a longer-term issue, with self-driving applications not ready for mass production in the short term. However, short-range sensing currently dominated by radar and ultrasonics presents an opportunity for LiDAR today. This is the market that PreAct is targeting with its TrueSense product.
