Torqeedo is a German manufacturer of electric outboard and inboard propulsion systems for leisure boats and small commercial boats such as fishing boats, water buses and small ferries. It supplies a complete system, including the Li-ion battery, controllers and throttle, and the propulsion system (motors, gearing, propeller). Luke Gear, Principal Technology Analyst at IDTechEx, caught up with the company to learn of the latest technology and market developments.
