Kateeva

Kateeva manufacturers inkjet printers for OLED display manufacture. Their original aim was to inkjet print the emissive material in RGB pixels, but this has proved very challenging to commercialize. As such, their business focuses on printing thin film encapsulation (TFE) layers.

Royole

Royole manufactures flexible displays and sensors. It is best known for producing the world's first commercial foldable smartphone. They are now working on applying their flexible display technology and manufacturing capabilities to multiple applications.

Schneider Electric (Energy Storage)

Schneider Electric SE is a French multinational corporation. The company began to include software, critical power and smart grid applications, through strategic acquisitions, into its business in 2010.

C3 Nano

C3 Nano is a producer of transparent conductive films (TCFs) and inks based on silver nanowires. Their films have 30 to 50 ohms/sq, and can be employed in flexible touch screens.

Becon

IDTechEx analyst Nadia Tsao spoke with Minsuk Park from Samsung Electronics. Becon is a Samsung C-Lab project started in late 2019.

Welt

IDTechEx analyst Nadia Tsao spoke with representatives at Welt's booth. Welt has developed a line of smart belt buckles for health monitoring. They spun out of Samsung's C-Labs in 2016. IDTechEx first met Welt at CES 2019.

Monit

Monit is a startup founded in 2017 after initial development in Samsung's C-Lab since 2015. They have developed smart diapers, including a series of sensors such as temperature, humidity and gas sensors for detection of urine and faeces. IDTechEx interviewed them at their booth in CES 2020's Eureka Park.

CSEM

IDTechEx caught up with Jens Krauss, VP Systems at CSEM at CES 2020. They were showing some of their latest work and products on their booth. We discussed progress around several of their key patents, including optical heart rate, optical blood pressure and dry electrodes for cardiac monitoring.

Quantum Materials Corporation

Formed in January 2007, a Nevada corporation under the name "Hague Corporation" went public in 2008 (symbol QTMM) as part of an agreement to secure a first round of funding from investors.

Nanophotonica

Nanophotonica is a small team of 15 or so R&D persons exclusively focused on QLED devices. They were incorporated around 2009, but work didn't really start until around 2017.

Nanosys

Nanosys is the leading player in QDs. They were founded in 2001 (historical overview in next slides). It has raised some $160M over the last 15 years.
