Dr. Rebekah Miller leads business development for emerging material technologies in her role as the Head of Business Builder, North America, for EMD Performance Materials. With a focus on market strategy and new business models, Dr. Miller has responsibilities in global account management and key customer relationships. In previous roles, she specialized in innovation management and technology scouting, ensuring a continuous flow of new products into the market. Dr. Miller has led a variety of R&D projects for printed electronics, including nanoparticle- and precursor-based inks for optoelectronics and sensors. She joined EMD Performance Materials after completing her PhD in chemistry at UC Berkeley and a postdoctoral appointment in materials sciences and engineering at MIT.
EMD Performance Materials is the North America high-tech materials business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, a leading science and technology company in healthcare, life science and performance materials. The Performance Materials division comprises a portfolio of applications in fields such as consumer electronics, semiconductors, lighting, coatings, printing technology, plastics, and cosmetics. Key products include display materials, LED materials for lighting as well as OLED materials for lighting and displays, functional materials for solar panels and energy solutions, and high-purity specialty chemical materials for the electronics and semiconductor industry.
