CO2-Derived e-Fuels: Enabling Net-Zero Transportation
On the 28th November 2023, a plane flew from London to New York. For the first time in history, this transatlantic flight was 100% powered by sustainable alternative fuels. This rounds off a promising year for sustainable fuels in aviation. Earlier in 2023, ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation was adopted by the European Union, mandating a 70% sustainable aviation fuel blending obligation by 2050.

CorPower Ocean, Maersk Supply Service and Dieseko: UMACK Anchor
CorPower Ocean, Maersk Supply Service and Dieseko have successfully installed the first commercial-scale UMACK anchor to support the HiWave-5 demonstration project. The novel anchor has been installed 4km off the coast of Aguçadoura, in northern Portugal, where it will be used to anchor the CorPower C4 Wave Energy Converter, as part of the flagship HiWave-5 project.

Full-Scale Offshore Charging Station for Vessels at Offshore Wind Farm
Maersk Supply Service, a part of A.P. Moller-Maersk, is launching its offshore vessel-charging venture, Stillstrom, to support the decarbonisation of the maritime industry by eliminating idle emissions. Together with Ørsted, Stillstrom will demonstrate the world's first full-scale offshore charging station for vessels at an offshore wind farm, scheduled for installation later this year.
