Presentation Summary

The advances made in a diverse set of technologies including low power, long range wireless communication, energy harvesting, ultra-low power microcontrollers, printed and traditional sensors and flexible electronics has started to enable the realization of sensor systems that can address an equally diverse set of applications. These applications range from wearable electronics for health and fitness monitoring to industrial sensor networks aimed at improving plant efficiency to smart labels for consumer goods. There is a desire to develop cost effective means of manufacturing these sensor system while at the same time improving performance, especially as it relates to form factor. This talk will address design considerations for sensor systems, sensor system integration and how Printed Electronics and Flexible Hybrid Electronics can be used to optimize designs for particular applications.

Speaker Biography (Mark Litecky)

Mark Litecky has over 6 years' experience in the printed electronics space—and a 27 year career focused on new technologies. He worked for Soligie as the VP of Sales and Marketing prior to Molex acquiring some of the Soligie assets on May 1, 2015. Specializing in business development, sales and marketing leadership, and the application of new technologies, Mark has a background in a diverse set of industries including industrial process, electronics and microelectronics manufacturing, flat panel display, and medical. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
