However, further power saving in bulk semiconductor processes is limited due to the law of physics. An innovative approach is required to realize further low power consumption that matches market needs. This talk focuses on Renesas's next generation of ultra-low power with SOI process technology called Silicon-on-Thin-Buried-Oxide (SOTB) with its key advantages, and how the SOTB technology can be applied to Energy Harvesting in IoT applications. Speaker Biography (Ken Imai)Ken is a Product Marketing at Renesas Electronics who has worked for the company for more than 11 years. He worked as an embedded systems specialist to gain broad application knowledge of microprocessors and microcontrollers through his various application engineering and platform development experiences. His current role in the company is product marketing and energy harvesting ecosystem development for the SOTB-based microcontroller. His contribution to the work resulted in winning a technology award from the IoT industry.
