Presentation Summary

The talk will address various technological and business technologies and present different approaches that pave the way for enabling innovations based on M2M and IoT open platforms. The talk will present few successfully stories that have been developed at Fraunhofer FOKUS based on the OpenMTC.

Speaker Biography (Adel Al-Hezmi)

Dr. Adel Al-Hezmi is a senior researcher in Next Generation Network Infrastructure competence center at Fraunhofer FOKUS. He is leading the research activities for machine type communication and IoT. His expertise covers fixed and mobile core network, M2M and multimedia service platforms. Al-Hezmi started his working experience at Siemens ICM in 1999 and than joined Fraunhofer Fokus in 2003. Then he moved to Saudi Telecommunication Company (STC) as IMS/NGN expert in network design from 2008 to 2010. Thereafter, he worked as senior solutions architect in Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC) in Doha until 2012.
