On Dec 5 Printed Electronics USA 2012 will open in Santa Clara, CA. More than 100 exhibitors have already confirmed their involvement in what will be the largest event on the topic. Here are a few of the key show highlights:
Insight from end-users
As usual, the focus of this event is about moving the technology from research to commercialization. To that objective, end user companies will present on their needs and experiences with the technology. For example, hear from companies such as the Walt Disney Corporation, discussing "The World that Feels and Responds: Toward The Next Generation of Physical Computing" to one of the largest drinks maker in the world, Diageo, discussing "Harnessing E-Technologies to Step Change How Consumers Interact with Premium Drinks Brands".
Others cover infrastructure and aerospace, such as the $50 Billion corporation United Technologies "Opportunities for Printed Electronics in Integrated Buildings and Aerospace Systems" and Lockheed Martin. The full agenda is available here: www.PrintedElectronicsUSA.com
See products
In the exhibition, "Demonstration Street" is the unique pavilion which will showcase the full range of working printed electronics products, from flexible displays to touch sensitive surfaces; and from rollable PV to smart packaging. See what has already been produced and what products are emerging here.
See how they are made
New this year is "Manufacturing street" - which brings together organizations that are involved throughout the manufacturing supply chain. They will print and process materials in front of you. This will allow attendees to see how equipment is set up, full printing and post print processes on a range of different printing machines.
