48V mild hybrids are electric vehicles?
Wikipedia says no. Wikipedia is wrong. It correctly identifies electric vehicles as those propelled by an electric motor for some or all of the time. Avegant
IDTechEx spoke to Joerg Tewes, CEO of Avegant, a company founded in September 2012. Avegant has developed a head mounted display, a device that is both a VR headset but also a video and audio infotainment device. They completed proof of concept for their micromirror display technique in April 2013, finalised the engineering design in 2013 and then began the alpha test in 2014. The final device, the Glyph, is currently available to order at the price of $699.
