Monta and EN+ Team up to Supercharge EV Charge Points
202212
An electric vehicle charging platform and EV charge point installer have announced a new partnership aimed at supercharging the UK's electric infrastructure. EV charging platform, Monta, and EV charge point manufacturer, EN+, say the move will improve the number of public and private chargers accessible to drivers while unlocking new features for commercial operators.
By integrating with the Monta platform, EN+ owners will be able to start, schedule, and manage their charges with better insight into energy use, time spent charging, and cost. Commercial operators will also gain access to features such as virtual queueing, reservation bookings, and load balancing.By using Monta with EN+, operators and users can save on electricity costs, lower their CO2 emissions, and use greener energy options while being able to connect to a worldwide network of publicly available charge points. Monta will also provide a one-stop shop for payment options through its platform and 24/7 customer support to provide a pain-free charging experience. "Together, we are not just looking to increase the installation rate of EV charge points across the UK, but also make them accessible to every driver - no matter the make, model or manufacturer," said Alok Dubey, UK Country Manager at Monta. "The current public charging station user experience leaves a lot to be desired, but together with EN+ we're determined to provide a better experience while delivering more charge points to help meet the skyrocketing demand of electric vehicles."
Nick Groves, Head of New Business at EN+, added: "It's no secret that the UK is behind where it needs to be in order to truly become an EV powerhouse. There are currently not enough publicly available charge points to fuel the growing demand, and the user experience has been in much need of improvement. Until recently, the confusion and frustration surrounding finding open charge points has been a significant turn-off for prospective EV owners."
Groves concludes, "In teaming up with Monta, we're excited to be making a contribution to the democratisation of EV charging, by further enhancing the user experience and thereby driving greater adoption of EV's in general. We've been really impressed with Monta's expertise, technology, and customer support service to deliver such a future, and we're looking forward to working with them to this end. This is why we are proud to partner with them and integrate with their technology solution to deliver an out-of-the-box "powered by Monta" EN+ charge point that will open up this new world of EV charging to our end users. "
Headquartered in Shenzhen, China, EN+ has invested heavily on sustainable research and development, with a product line spanning portable, AC and DC Rapid charge points, along with their in-house software development. The company is one of the largest exporters of EV charge points, supplying around 200,000 units worldwide every year to over 40 countries.
Available on iOS, Android and as a web-based app, Monta connects business owners with charging point installers to help power electric vehicles. EV owners can freely use the app to find charging points near them as well as track energy consumption, usage, and costs.
About Monta
Monta is an electric vehicle (EV) charging app that is looking to revolutionise EV charge point infrastructure across Europe. Through its iOS, Android and web-based app, Monta connects drivers, site owners and charge installers to supercharge electric vehicles and create an open, accessible network of charge point infrastructure. The Monta app allows any company, organisation, and public entity with available sites and space to view, manage and set up charge points for employees, guests, and public EV drivers. Charge point owners can then manage users, power usage, pricing, access and transactions through the Monta app. Through peer-to-peer charging, homeowners can share their chargers with a community of EV drivers as a source of additional income while helping save the planet. By connecting personal EV chargers to the Monta app, private charge point owners can view their charging history, manage access to the charge point, and set their own pricing and usage.
