Construction support vessel efficiency enhanced by hybrid propulsion

The technology group Wärtsilä is to provide hybrid propulsion capability for a new offshore wind construction support vessel. The 'Acta Centaurus', a DP2 walk-to-work construction support vessel owned by Netherlands-based Acta Marine, will thus gain fuel consumption and environmental benefits through being able to operate the vessel with less running engines at more optimised load.

Manned Electric Aircraft: IDTechEx says Walk Before You Run

In the new IDTechEx report, "Manned Electric Aircraft 2020-2030" the analyst praises manufacturers such as Bye Aerospace for "walking before they try to run".
