GenCell Energy

GenCell Energy is an alkaline fuel cell (AFC) manufacturing company, based in Israel and with a US subsidiary in California. IDTechEx spoke with GenCell in February 2024, focussing on its electric vehicle (EV) charging system, the GenCell EVOX. IDTechEx spoke with the Communications Strategist and Climatech Evangelist at GenCell Energy, to learn more about its stationary fuel cell business as a whole.

GenCell is an Israeli based company that develops hydrogen fuel cell generators, intended to provide a replacement for diesel generators and clean off-grid power. The GenCell EVOX offers hydrogen powered DC fast charging for electric vehicles, with integrated battery storage for energy security. IDTechEx spoke with the Director of Sales & Business Development and VP Customer Service to learn more about GenCell and the EVOX.

GenCell Energy is entering a market cooperation with Milani S.p.A.. The partners have joined forces to maximize market penetration of GenCell's zero-emission hydrogen-to-power and ammonia-to-power alkaline fuel cell technologies to power critical applications in C&I buildings throughout Italy and across Europe.

GenCell Energy, provider of hydrogen and ammonia to power fuel cell solutions, is entering a strategic partnership with the ONEC Group, a mid-sized Canadian project delivery company. Together the two companies aim to grow the presence of GenCell's backup and off-grid power solutions across North America.

The GenCell FOX delivers reliable, resilient and zero-emission primary power which can replace fossil fuel generators. The solution can also complement solar PV and wind power solutions at telecom sites around the globe. The FOX can be placed at a telecom base station in virtually any location where grid services are poor or non-existent to keep the tower running without any need for servicing or refueling for as long as half a year.

GenCell Energy has launched its latest long-duration backup power solution which has been designed specifically to meet the challenging backup power requirements of telecom and critical communications operations.

Gencell Energy (Gencell) is an Israeli company developing fuel cell systems for continuous off-grid power. They are looking to overcome many of the challenges of hydrogen as a fuel through the use of ammonia. 2018 has seen something of a resurgence of industrial interest in fuel cell systems, IDTechEx spoke with Gencell CEO Rami Reshef to understand the company's position in more detail.
