The Car That Cleans the Air While Driving
The transport sector is a major polluter, producing about a quarter of the EU's total CO2 emissions a few years ago. Passenger cars are responsible for more than 60 percent of these emissions. The amount of CO2 produced by passenger cars is the main reason that researchers wanted to create a car that not only has low emissions in the production process, but also reduces CO2 emissions while driving.

Liquid Crystal Ink for 3D Printing
Cholesteric liquid crystals, a man-made material with properties between liquids and solid crystals, can mimic the colors of butterfly wings. Liquid crystals are used in televisions and smartphones, but future applications for healthcare sensors or decorative lighting are difficult as the materials can't be used in advanced, rapid production methods like 3D printing.
