Distributed Generation: Off-Grid Zero- Emission kW-MW
27 March 2020 by Dr Peter Harrop
This article concerns production of electricity with zero emissions that is off-grid or capable of being off-grid when needed. That usually means a system that has energy storage and increasingly smart versions, those that manage supply and demand often for multiple loads and/or inputs. However, we also give some coverage to simple-single purpose versions such as a shipping container with a solar panel on it that creates fresh water by self-generated electricity powering desalination.
