Identification and recognition used to mean something I have (such as passport, tokens, ticket, etc.) and something I know (e.g. password). While nowadays "something of me" can be used to make differentiations. "Something of me" refers to biometric-based information such as fingerprint, face, hand, iris, DNA, voice, signature etc. And some of the biometric features have been applied in physical access control, time & attendance control, device authentication, banking security and much more. This article will give an introduction of face recognition technologies.
