Wireless charging adoption is accelerating and being recognised as the most convenient electric vehicle recharging solution. Various pilot projects are demonstrating the effective use of the technology in the commercial vehicle segment. Auto OEMs are either retrofitting kits or negotiating the option to factory-install wireless power transfer hardware with wireless charging companies. This article takes a deep dive into some of the noticeable public projects and highlights the technical challenges and lessons learnt from them.
