Footstep Harvesting and Data Tracking (Energy Harvesting and Storage Europe 2011)

Elizabeth Redmond, Founder and President of POWERleap Inc., started developing energy harvesting floor solutions during her fourth-year Design thesis at the University of Michigan in 2006. The young designtrepreneur set out to create systems that generate energy from human kinetics. She since founded POWERleap Inc and developed commercial solutions for intelligent sensing and power generation applications.

 

POWERleap has been featured in media publications from Fast Company to the Discovery Channel resulting in a strong network of partners, and customers across the globe. In late 2010, the company will launch it's first set of commercial Smart Flooring Solutions.
