Speaker Biography (Alberto Varzi)

Alberto Varzi is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Münster, Germany. He earned a Bachelor's degree in chemistry at the University of Perugia, Italy, in 2006, and a Master's in Chemistry of Materials at the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2008. In 2009, he moved to Germany where he carried out his doctoral studies at the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW) in Ulm. Dr. Varzi's research interests are focused on the development of innovative composite electrodes for advanced Li-ion batteries and Supercapacitors as well as on the investigation of electrochemical properties of ionic liquids.
