The Internet of Things (IoT) could transform our communities, workplaces, and homes, but one issue is holding back innovation: power. Cords and cables hinder smart home technology, in particular, because no one wants to manually charge or replace batteries for 100s of devices.
This session with Hatem Zeine, co-founder and CTO of Ossia, will present the scale of the power challenge, offer a viable solution, and discuss the next steps in addressing the power gap. The solution is a new paradigm of connectivity - one in which safe, ubiquitous, consistent wireless power is distributed like Wi-Fi. We already have the technology to accomplish that. However, changing global power architecture is no small feat. We must create an ecosystem of innovators that build wireless power into new devices. And we must overcome regulatory hurdles that slow down adoption of new technology. Join Hatem for a conversation that will illuminate the future of power and show how mobile innovators can advance IoT by embracing a better vision of connectivity.
