Real Time Structural Health Reporting For Infrastructure Using Graphene Coated Geotextiles
Santa Clara Convention Center, CA, USA
16:00 - 16:20
Imagine IM produces graphene, in order to produce conductive coatings for geotextiles making them 'smart'. Inexpensive geosynthetics become high value products when used in conjunction with dams, roads, landfill and other civil engineering projects. Imagine IM's first product, imgne X3, coated on Geofabrics bidim C has been successfully trialled with leachate containment tanks used in Coal Seam Gas operations. It is more efficient and more cost effective than the existing solutions. In order to deliver real time actionable data and insights Imagine IM has developed a hardware interface that can interrogate very large textile sensors (>10,000 square meters) and report on changes in moisture and/or pressure. The hardware sensor integrates with Amazon's Greengrass AWS by running the Greengrass core locally.
Speaker Biography (Chris Gilbey)
