AREVO Inc. has developed a new Additive Manufacturing (AM) solution for making ultra strong and lightweight composite parts to replace metal parts for commercial applications. This technology enables the production of parts that were not possible until now. AREVO's core technology relies on the interplay between Software, Materials/Process, and Robotics. Through innovations in these technologies, AREVO is enabling on-demand manufacturing of mass customized, lightweight 3D printed parts in high volume.
Speaker Biography (Greg Jack)
Greg Jack is the Director of Business Development for AREVO Inc., a leading additive manufacturer of composite parts. Subsequent to receiving his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, Greg served for several years as a Product Development Engineer, responsible for commercializing high performance engineering thermoplastics for GE Plastics and Amoco Performance Products (now Solvay Specialty Polymers). Greg transitioned from R&D into various commercial roles which he has served in over the last 20 years; most recently in Business Development for Solvay Specialty Polymers.
Greg has business experience in several industries, including Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor, Oil & Gas, Medical, Industrial, and Consumer markets. During his career, Greg has also played an integral role in launching new start-up ventures including GE Operations Services and MPT. Greg joined AREVO in 2016 based on his conviction that AREVO's AM technologies will drive new applications and market opportunities for thermoplastic composites.
Company Profile (AREVO Inc.)
AREVO®, based in Silicon Valley, California, develops technology to enable direct digital additive manufacturing of ultra-strong, lightweight composite parts for end use applications in high volume. With a unique combination of breakthrough materials, powerful design/build software, and free motion robotics for the first "true 3D" construction, AREVO is moving beyond prototypes by enabling the design and fabrication of large, mass-produced parts and structures, quickly leading 3D printing into mainstream manufacturing. AREVO provides designers and manufacturers with unprecedented freedom to unlock the unparalleled strength and weight of composite materials for a wide range of consumer and industrial products and has seen early success manufacturing CFRTP composite parts for OEM customers.
