Speaker Biography (Kai Herbst)

The 39 year old Diplomierte Betriebswirt (BA) is married and has two boys. Kai Herbst started in 1993 with Schenker in Germany and after a 3 year study at the Berufsakademie in Mannheim he started his career at Schenker International in Stuttgart. After he had worked over 9 years in various departments within Schenker Stuttgart, such as Air- and Sea freight, Assistant of the Managing Director as well as in the Key Account department he could gain and strengthen his logistic knowledge.
For 2 years Kai Herbst worked for Schenker Inc. in Richmond, VA and was responsible for the logistical organisation of the 300 mm ramp up from Infineon / Qimonda as well as branch manager for Schenker in Richmond. Since April 2007 he is branch manager for Schenker Air-, Sea freight and logistics in Dresden.
