Speaker Biography (Simon Aliwell)Simon Aliwell is a technology translator of the Sensors & Instrumentation KTN. He has been delivering innovation management, technology commercialisation, R&D and entrepreneur support services to universities, established companies, start-ups and government agencies for 10 years following a technology research career. He has a background in sensors and instrumentation technology research and further experience in technology commercialisation for a diverse range of applications sectors. He has worked for Cambridge University, University College London, the research and technology consultancy Sira and the National Physical Laboratory before setting up Zartech. Here his clients have ranged from start-ups and spin-outs through to large institutions and national technology programmes including the Sensors & Instrumentation KTN, which he founded in 2005. Simon has a PhD in Chemistry from Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School.
