Presentation Summary

  • Connecting industry to applications using wireless power - a link that enables a value based application of printed electronics, like intelligent and controllable business cards , magazines, and interactive packaging .
  • Fulton is connecting industries and technology providers through wireless power with power control using printed components and working off a universal wireless power standard (Qi) in current and future projects.
-Providing the capability to power and read data from printed circuits allows many new and unique opportunities.
  • Wireless power industry seeking to build strong relationships with companies that provide interesting technologies that solve real problems when combined with wireless power.

Speaker Biography (Esai Umenei)

A. E. Umenei is a senior research scientist at Fulton innovation with over 5 years of experience in electromagnetic modeling. He obtained his Ph.D in electrical engineering from Cardiff University, UK in the area of electromagnetic modeling for power devices. He has worked extensively in the modeling of high power devices, developing models and analytic procedures in understanding these devices, while improving their design using magnetic theory and finite element methodology.
He joined Fulton innovation in 2010 and is part of the research team tasked with improving present design of wireless power solutions, and extending the ecoupledTM technology and its applicability. His present research interest is in wireless power system optimization and design. He is a major contributor to technical papers for the wireless power consortium. He has over 23 conference presentations and published papers, and two pending patents.
