Speaker Biography (Dan Steingart)Dan Steingart is an assistant professor in chemical engineering at the City College of New York, and a founding faculty member of the CUNY Energy Institute. He has created developed printing process for electrochemical energy storage, distributed sensors for large scale electrochemical processes, and power conversion circuitry for wireless sensor nodes in both academic and industrial laboratories. As a co-founder of Wireless Industrial Technologies (WIT) he was the reciepient of a National Science Foundation (NSF) SBIR. WIT generated three contracts from the research and development funded by the NSF. As a graduate student at UC Berkeley he was an Intel Scholar, and received a NSF EAPSI grant to study inkjet printing in Japan, the Daniel Cubicicciotti Award from the Electrochemical Society, and a design award from the International Solid States Circuits Conference.
