Speaker Biography (Jean-Marie Dilhac)Jean-Marie Dilhac is professor of electronics and telecommunications at Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Toulouse (France). He is also leading a team working on energy and embedded systems at LAAS-CNRS laboratory. His own interest focuses on energy generation for wireless and battery-free sensor networks in aeronautics. He is involved in various collaborations with major aircraft manufacturers and universities sharing similar objectives, such as applying sensor networks to structural health monitoring or flight tests. Company Profile (LAAS-CNRS)The Laboratory of Analysis and Architecture of Systems (LAAS) is a CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) research unit. LAAS' research activities fall within the domain of Information Sciences and Technologies and address complex systems (artificial and sometimes natural) generally heterogeneous, and at different scales, to devise theories, methodologies and tools for modelling, designing and controlling them. Research, innovation and transfer are tied. The lab has a history of strong relationships with industry and works in a large number of collaborative projects with international, national and regional industries of all size. |
