Presentation Summary

  • MC10 is reshaping electronics into conformal products that bend, stretch and flex to move with the body, without sacrificing performance.
  • While Moore's Law has delivered smaller, cheaper and faster electronics, these conventional systems exist exclusively in planar layouts on the flat surfaces of rigid, brittle semiconductor wafers. These 2D configurations are not fundamentally compatible for use in soft form factors such as on or in the human body
  • MC10's stretchable electronics can be integrated into three-dimensional applications, into dynamic and moving systems, and into space-constrained areas - applications that just aren't possible with dominant forms of electronics.
  • This presentation will describe MC10's approach to developing stretchable electronics. Additionally, the presentation will explore the primary markets and opportunities we see in this space today and in the future.

Speaker Biography (David A Icke)

Mr. Dave Icke is the Chief Executive Officer of mc10. Prior to mc10, Mr. Icke was the VP of Marketing at Advanced Electron Beams, a venture-backed cleantech company. He also served as the VP of Sales and VP of Engineering during different periods while at AEB. Earlier in his career, Mr. Icke held general and senior management positions at Teradyne and KLA-Tencor, both of which serve the semiconductor capital equipment market. He has a passion for productizing innovative technology that enables customers to change the way they do business. Mr. Icke holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
