'Clean-on-Demand' film for roll-to-roll flexible electronics
As part of the EU-funded, Holst Centre-coordinated Clean4Yield project, DuPont Teijin Films (DTF) is developing a new 'Clean-on-Demand' PET polyester film that could boost yields and cut costs for roll-to-roll (R2R) production of flexible electronics.

Printed Electronics in Japan (part I)
From July through September 2013 we have visited 35 companies and interviewed many delegates at our Printed Electronics Asia event in Tokyo as well as reviewing the lectures and talking to the lecturers. This article shares some of the trends in Japanese printed electronics and allied subjects that have emerged. It is only a taster from the huge database of information acquired and interpreted by IDTechEx analysts. Over the years, the task has been made difficult by the Japanese predilection for changing company names and this cannot help their business activity.

On December 10, the UK Knowledge Transfer Network had a meeting in Grove Oxfordshire on Emerging Display Technologies and Innovations. About 35 people attended. Professor Ian Underwood of Edinburgh University in Scotland described work on microemissive OLED displays under the title "Hypoled - Next Generation Display Platform ."
