Third Skin is an ecosystem of wearables to augment our sensory experiences with digital content, and put the humanity back into technology.

Third Skin addresses a single fundamental issue with personal electronics. ALL smartphones, smartwatches, headphones & AR/VR devices, distract the user's attention from the world around them.

 

We should be able to enjoy communication, entertainment and information without being forced to switch between the real world and the virtual. Our design philosophy allows these capabilities as augmentations to human experience.

 

Our first product, Hy, is a wearable audio device which through voice control and context awareness, minimises the requirement for the user to manually interact with their smartphone. This is achieved in part with our patent pending earpiece design, which uniquely allows the user to wear the device *all day* without affecting their natural hearing.
