The priorities for electric aircraft motors are power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratio, absolute safety, efficiency and practicality at low rotation speed and then other factors such as cost, power-to-volume ratio and so on. This is in contrast to cars, where the price of the motor and its ability to manage complex duty cycles efficiently are important.
