Chinese OEMs' Electric Construction Machine Development

China is the world's largest market for mobile construction machines. Ten of the top 50 construction equipment manufactures by sales revenue are Chinese companies. Chinese OEMs are developing electric construction machines supported by the electric powertrain component supply chain, which has been built up as a result of a broad government push for heavy-duty vehicle electrification (buses and trucks). This article looks at the ongoing electrification activity of Chinese construction machine manufacturers, with examples from compact to larger machines.
