The new Canadian Livestock Identification Agency, founded in March, is planning to register all livestock facilities in Canada, this being announced recently by Mike Dexter, general manager. Technical issues need to be overcome such as whether the farm is owned or rented and how the data can be cleansed of errors.
Food Traceability 2006 conference will be held on February 1-2 2006 in Dallas, USA. This hot topic is driven by health scares, bioterrorism and new laws.
