Outsight: combining SLAM with multispectral and SWIR sensing to combine perception, localization, and semantics. They are a newcomer in the automotive perception business. In fact, they announced their entry in 2019 at the AutoSens.

Arbe Robotics: high-performance radar with trained deep neutral networks. Radar technology is already used in automotive to enable various ADAS functions. This technology is however changing fast.

Blickfeld: a large-sized MEMS mirror to achieve long-range wide FOV lidars. They are a start-up (2017) in Munich, Germany. They are developing a MEMS based lidar. Their target is to provide a reliable, cost-effective, and scalable products.

Xenomatix: solid-state flash lidar combined with parallax-free 2D monochromic camera. Xenomatix was established in Belgium in 2013.

Imec: In-cabin monitoring and gesture recognition using 145GHz radar. Imec presented an interesting radar.

SiLC is a fabless company established in 2018 in California to develop single-chip frequency-modulated-continuous-wave (FMCW) lidar operating at 1550nm.

GEO Semiconductor: In-Camera CV for NCAP Pedestrian Rear AEB using classical computer vision. GEO Semiconductor is a major player automotive camera modules. It claims to have more than 170 OEM design wins. They described their work on automotive rear cameras.

IDTechEx met with the team from GT Cardio at their booth at CES 2020's Eureka Park. We discussed their products, and in particular their new watch and clip products which they are using to measure blood pressure.

Monit is a startup founded in 2017 after initial development in Samsung's C-Lab since 2015. They have developed smart diapers, including a series of sensors such as temperature, humidity and gas sensors for detection of urine and faeces. IDTechEx interviewed them at their booth in CES 2020's Eureka Park.

IDTechEx caught up with the team at Valencell once more at CES 2020. The key new innovation that they were introducing at the event was their options around blood pressure monitoring via a version of their reflective optical technique based on the PPG waveform.

IDTechEx caught up with Jens Krauss, VP Systems at CSEM at CES 2020. They were showing some of their latest work and products on their booth. We discussed progress around several of their key patents, including optical heart rate, optical blood pressure and dry electrodes for cardiac monitoring.
