Swine Traceability in Argentina
2005年11月1天
Notching is traditionally used to track swine in Argentina but the population is getting too large, with 18% growth in the last year, for that so state and federal officials are moving towards notching just to give parentage and movement and the rest of the information being gathered with reused tags. Foot and mouth disease outbreaks have been partially blamed on poor traceability. However the State of Santa Fe is moving to a choice of barcodes tags and tattoos. A nationwide traceability system is being urged but it does not yet exist.
Food & Livestock Traceability 2006 conference will be held on February 1-2 2006 in Dallas, USA. This hot topic is driven by health scares, bioterrorism and new laws. It will become the largest RFID application but we cover DNA and many other vital technologies as well. For further details please visit www.trackingfood.com
