Speaker Biography (Christina Roth)

Christina Roth is a full professor in Physical Chemistry at the Freie Universität Berlin. Her research activities address electrochemical energy systems, such as fuel cells and redox-flow batteries, bridging the gap between fundamental science and engineering. Her recent work focuses on the synthesis of alternative catalyst supports, the advanced design of 3D electrode architectures, e. g. by electrospinning, and in-situ study of reaction and deactivation mechanisms in fuel cells and batteries using X-ray absorption spectroscopy.
