Mr. Hess leads research, development and integration of energy storage solutions for hybrid transit and truck applications. Specifically, he is responsible for the architecture studies, requirements formulation, sizing analyses, performance assessment and integration of energy storage systems for hybrid electric vehicles. He has over 25 years experience with complex platform integration and test efforts. He has been at BAE Systems, Inc. for over three years working in the area of vehicle systems engineering and energy storage for the BAE Systems HybriDriveTM product line.
