Speaker Biography (HN Lam)

Ir. H.N. Lam was educated in Hong Kong and had obtained Bachelor and Master degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. After working in the building services industry and the Vocational Training Council for some time, he joined the University of Hong Kong as Lecturer in Building Services Engineering and has since been involved in the teaching of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is now an Associate Professor and his main research interests include artificial intelligence for intelligent buildings and smart homes, computer modelling, building automation systems, geothermal heat pumps and desiccant dehumidification systems.
