Speaker Biography (Alex Henzen)Alex Henzen, MSc. has been co-founder and vice president of iRex Technologies since 2005 with responsibility for process development and innovation. He is responsible for design and production of iRex' e-paper displays as well as running innovation projects, internal as well as with partners and suppliers. Prior to founding iRex Technologies, Henzen held a program management position at Philips Mobile Display Systems. During his 20 years at Philips, Henzen spent time developing passive matrix LCD for mobile telephone and automotive applications, alternative LCD technologies in both passive and active matrix and electrophoretic displays. This has resulted in novel LCD compensation technologies and configurations, the first flexible cholesteric displays, the first in-pixel circuitry in LTPS prototype displays and the first commercial active matrix electrophoretic display. Henzen holds a Masters degree in Chemistry from Leiden University, Leiden, Netherlands.
