Patrick Waters has built-up extensive expertise in mobile telecommunications from applied research into civil and military communications over 25 years. He has a broad system engineering view including experience from radio communications equipment design, digital signal processing and smartcard technologies, and has developed expertise in more recent years on the application of mobile communications.

 

A recognized industry expert on Near Field Communications, he brings expertise on the emerging technologies and business opportunities in identity, mobile commerce, Subscriber Identity Modules (the smartcard in the phone) and on Machine-to-Machine (where distributed devices communicate without human intervention).
