Siemens demonstrated its wide experience and reliability in the field of electric traction systems for commercial vehicles in the last years in many different applications. To date over 10,000 of the proven ELFA drive system are worldwide in daily operation. Based on this huge experience in drive technology and production of drive systems Siemens is very well prepared for the growing market of solutions for green vehicles. Announcements from Chinese as well as European authorities underline that after the well-established Chinese market for electric city-buses the market for green solutions for further commercial vehicles will start soon in other regions.

Speaker Biography (Juergen Fetzer)

Jürgen Fetzer joined Siemens AG in 1991 after his Diploma as industrial engineer at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. In his career at Siemens he was responsible for different marketing and sales and topics of innovative products and systems. He was decisively involved when Siemens decided to go for electrical and hybrid drive systems for city commercial vehicles. Today he is business development manager for the ELFA® drive system.
