In 2005 cement materials, called Contour Crafting publicly introduced the idea of digitally controlled extrusion of . A few years afterwards, Italian entrepreneur Enrico Dini presented the concept of using a powder-bed technique (specifically binder jetting) to 3D print concrete by building a small house. By 2014, the number of large-scale concrete 3D printing began to increase substantially.
