Agaonva offer leak detection services for distribution pipes and larger network pipes for both potable and wastewater. IDTechEx interviewed Ana Cozar, a Business Development Manager from Aganova.

ESPROS Photonics

ESPROS Photonics presented their time-of-flight (ToF) lidar measurement mechanism (905nm laser). ESPROS is a fully developed IC design and production company headquartered in Swiss with additional design centre in China.

Outsight

Outsight: combining SLAM with multispectral and SWIR sensing to combine perception, localization, and semantics. They are a newcomer in the automotive perception business. In fact, they announced their entry in 2019 at the AutoSens.

Arbe Robotics

Arbe Robotics: high-performance radar with trained deep neutral networks. Radar technology is already used in automotive to enable various ADAS functions. This technology is however changing fast.

Blickfeld

Blickfeld: a large-sized MEMS mirror to achieve long-range wide FOV lidars. They are a start-up (2017) in Munich, Germany. They are developing a MEMS based lidar. Their target is to provide a reliable, cost-effective, and scalable products.

Xenomatix

Xenomatix: solid-state flash lidar combined with parallax-free 2D monochromic camera. Xenomatix was established in Belgium in 2013.

Imec

Imec: In-cabin monitoring and gesture recognition using 145GHz radar. Imec presented an interesting radar.

SiLC

SiLC is a fabless company established in 2018 in California to develop single-chip frequency-modulated-continuous-wave (FMCW) lidar operating at 1550nm.

First Autonomous Vehicle Exemption for Nuro

The US Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approved a regulatory exemption for R2, Nuro's second-generation vehicle. As the first company to be granted approval for a self-driving vehicle exemption, it's an important moment for Nuro and a milestone for the industry.

Electrodes For Ultracapacitor

IDTechEx visited the Garmin booth at CES 2020. Highlights included their new Fenix 6 watch, a high end sports watch with newly integrated energy harvesting via photovoltaics integrated into the bezel and on the display of the watch.

IDTechEx attended AutoSens 2019 in Brussels. The event took place at the car museum in Brussels. This event is focused on all future vehicle perception technologies including lidar, radar, and camera. It focuses on the hardware side as well as on the software and data processing side.

GT Cardio

IDTechEx met with the team from GT Cardio at their booth at CES 2020's Eureka Park. We discussed their products, and in particular their new watch and clip products which they are using to measure blood pressure.

Copprint

Copprint is an early stage Israeli company that has developed an ink based on copper nanoparticles. Their ink can achieve around 25% of bulk conductivity whilst only requiring a short 2-second anneal using a simple oven system at 125-250C. The ink recently (late 2019) became commercially available, and they have just finished upgrading their production capability to produced 1 tonne/month.

Monit

Monit is a startup founded in 2017 after initial development in Samsung's C-Lab since 2015. They have developed smart diapers, including a series of sensors such as temperature, humidity and gas sensors for detection of urine and faeces. IDTechEx interviewed them at their booth in CES 2020's Eureka Park.
