The Role
As an R&D scientist you will be involved in the capture, design and commercial realisation of new products to meet the technical needs of our European customers. From design concept through to full-scale manufacture, the products developed will comply with DuPont's stringent ethical, safety, quality and environmental standards.
The growth scientist will focus on the technology needs of new emerging market areas. This position will require expertise from fields such as materials science, chemistry, physics and the electronic properties of materials. Knowledge of thick-film technology would be an advantage along with ink-jet, flexographic and screen ink formulation experience.
In addition to a PhD you will have strong problem-solving skills. You will also need confident communication skills which are essential for working within a multi-disciplinary global team. A keen commercial awareness is necessary to ensure that the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
This role will involve collaborating with other technical centres and leading academic institutions around the world to ensure that DuPont remains at the forefront of technology. A flexible approach to international travel is therefore essential.
