There is undoubtedly a huge push to build global public DC fast charging networks. The US government is providing more than US$5 billion in funding and incentives under the NEVI program to build a coast-to-coast fast charging network, and many countries in Europe are rolling out similar programs to spur electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure growth following AFIR regulations. This premium article takes a look at the current state of public EV charging infrastructure in the US, EU, and China with a focus on number of installations and segmentation between AC/DC type chargers.
