Midsummer is a Swedish manufacturer of cadmium-free flexible CIGS solar panels. It has developed the only high throughput manufacturing process for flexible CIGS panels.

Midsummer has entered into a partnership with Italian Research Consortium Hypatia to provide ultra-lightweight thin film solar cells for a number of cutting-edge projects, including a space mission to the stratosphere planned for October 2022.

Swedish solar energy expert Midsummer, a leading provider of equipment for cost-effective manufacturing of flexible CIGS thin film solar cells, received funding in 2016 from Mistra for the development of lightweight solar modules on vehicles.
